painted in 1996 painted in the middle of summer on site. The unusual monument
in the foreground dates from the time the Victorian gardens were first built.
The rest of the scene holds artist license to create how I think the garden
should look today. The sky on this particular
day was unusually striking, it being late afternoon when painted.
