A Sunset Print by Neil Masterman
This piece was very difficult to paint and keep
attention on the scene itself. I found it hard to believe that the scene itself
was actually real with all the colour in the sea. The sea was an amazing colour; I found this quite
frightening as at the time of painting it as I had thoughts of the Bermuda
triangle. The colour of the sea lasted around 15 minutes
before it left a lasting impression on my mind and no doubt yours too. My style of painting sunsets is much different to my
abstracts; because the attention to detail applied is so fine and I try very
hard on making the actual scene and the painting mirror each other. People find it hard to believe the sea was
actually this red colour. It’s quite stunning.
